Civilians are fleeing northern Syria after Turkey launches operation against US-backed Kurdish forces, days after President Donald Trump pulled US troops from the area

Turkey’s offensive in northeastern Syria has begun, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Wednesday, just days after the Trump administration announced it was pulling US troops back from the border area.
